Here’s an awesome poem from the August 2022 scripture poetry submission.

I had never read the tale

Of all the plagues in Egypt,

Or Elijah with the priests of Baal,

Or Jericho when the walls tipped.

But stories aren’t the only things

The Old Testament has to give.

We also learn of the King of all Kings

And how He can help us live.

All the pages demonstrate

His power has no end,

That blessings come to those that wait,

And love He’ll never cease to send.

(See Exodus 7–12; 1 Kings 18; Joshua 6.)

Bread or Water?

Have you ever noticed that the sacrament prayers are a little different from each other? If we remove a few words, can you tell which prayer is for the bread and which one is for the water? Then, fill in the blanks with the correct words below. If you need help, see Moroni 4:3; 5:2 or Doctrine and Covenants 20:77, 79. (The word wine can be substituted with water.)
