Come, Follow Me Activities
December 1–7: Doctrine and Covenants 137–138
Scripture Acting Game
The prophet Joseph F. Smith learned that it is important to ponder the scriptures (see Doctrine and Covenants 138:1–11). Play a game to help you learn stories from the scriptures. Take turns silently acting a favorite scripture story while everyone else guesses what it is!
December 8–14: Articles of Faith and Official Declarations 1 & 2
Articles of Faith Memory Game
The Articles of Faith were written by Joseph Smith to explain what we believe (see Articles of Faith 1:1–13). You can find the Articles of Faith posters at the end of each issue of the Friend magazine this year or online at friend.ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Choose one to hang on your wall and practice memorizing it. Why is it important to you?
December 15–21: The Family: A Proclamation to the World
Family Nativity
The family is an important part of God’s plan (see “The Family: A Proclamation to the World,” Gospel Library). When Jesus Christ was born, He had a family who loved Him very much. Put on a family Nativity! Dress up and read the Christmas story from the Bible together (see Luke 2:1–20; Matthew 2:1–12).
December 22–28: Christmas
Testimony Ornaments
“The Living Christ” is a testimony from prophets and apostles. Make a testimony Christmas ornament! Cut out a paper circle. Decorate one side for Christmas. On the other side, write what you know and believe about Jesus Christ. Then hang it up to remember your testimony.
