Come, Follow Me Activities
May 26–June 1: Doctrine and Covenants 51–57
Story Time
The Savior asked Joseph Smith to put good books in the Church’s schools so that children could learn what He wanted them to (see Doctrine and Covenants 55:4). Pick a favorite book or story. Take turns reading and sharing what you learned.
June 2–8: Doctrine and Covenants 58–59
Sunday Blessings
Read Doctrine and Covenants 59:9–19 and talk about how we are blessed when we keep the Sabbath day holy. Then turn to page 13 and pick an activity to do.
June 9–15: Doctrine and Covenants 60–63
Find and Speak
God wants us to speak about sacred things carefully (see Doctrine and Covenants 63:64). With a group, stand in a circle with one person in the middle, holding a set of scriptures. That person closes their eyes, spins, and points to someone. The person they chose shares a scripture with everyone else.
June 16–22: Doctrine and Covenants 64–66
A Willing Mind
The Lord wants us to have a willing heart and mind (see Doctrine and Covenants 64:34). We can spend time thinking about Jesus Christ to come closer to Him! Get a bag or basket to represent your mind. Put things inside the bag that will help you think about the Savior.
June 23–29: Doctrine and Covenants 67–70
Gifts for Friends
In the scriptures, we learn how important it is to have “true and faithful” friends to help us follow Jesus Christ (see Doctrine and Covenants 69:1–2). Make a gift to give to a friend! You could paint a picture, make a bracelet, or bake a treat. Write a note with your gift to tell your friend that you love them.
