Australia is a country and a continent between the Pacific and Indian Oceans. More than 25 million people live there! English is the main language spoken there.
Two Temples in Brisbane
The Brisbane Australia Temple is in an area called Kangaroo Point! A sixth Australian temple was announced for the south part of Brisbane too.
A Pink Lake
Lake Hillier is a salty lake in Australia. The water is bubblegum pink because of special types of bacteria and algae.
Australian Animals
There are many unique animals in Australia, including platypuses, kangaroos, koalas, and emus.
Red Rock
Uluru is a huge sandstone rock in Australia. It’s 1,142 feet (348 meters) tall—taller than the Eiffel Tower!
Making Music
The Aboriginal people (the very first people in Australia) make instruments called didgeridoos from hollow logs. When they blow into the log, it makes a low buzzing sound.
