Nephi Gets the Brass Plates

Lehi and Sariah’s family were traveling to the promised land. God told Lehi to send his sons back to Jerusalem to get the scriptures. They were written on metal plates.
Laman and Lemuel said it would be too hard. But Nephi said he would go and do what God commanded. Sam followed Nephi’s example.
The Holy Ghost told Nephi how to get the brass plates from a wicked man named Laban.
Nephi and his brothers brought the brass plates back to their family. Lehi and Sariah were so happy! They studied the scriptures on the plates. They learned about God’s commandments.
I can help my family study the scriptures. I can be brave like Nephi and “go and do” what God commands!
