To make this gift, you will need: scissors; colored paper; clear-drying glue; a clean, empty can that has no sharp edges; magazines; a paintbrush; a small dish; and water.

1. Cut the colored paper to fit around the outside of the can. Glue it in place and let dry.

2. Find words and pictures in old magazines that have to do with money, keys, and Dad. Cut them out, glue them on the paper-covered can, and let dry.

3. Put some glue into a small dish, thin it with a little water, and mix. With your fingers or a small paintbrush, spread the glue mixture lightly over all the clippings and let dry.
