Pinwheel Sandwich

1 slice bread (any kind)

1–2 tablespoons peanut butter

1 tablespoon jelly (any kind—red or purple is best for looks)

1 crisp lettuce leaf

  1. With a rolling pin, flatten the bread slightly.

  2. Spread the peanut butter, then the jelly on the bread; top with the lettuce leaf.

  3. Roll up the bread, wrap it tightly (but don’t squeeze it!) in plastic wrap, and put it in the fridge for at least an hour.

  4. Unwrap the rolled bread and have an older person cut it into 4 slices to make the pinwheels.
