Elephant Stew

The elephant’s gone and made a stew.

What shall we say? What shall we do?

He threw in french fries, a dirty old mop,

A little toy train, and a yellow gumdrop.

He mixed in beans, a bowl full of soap,

A bicycle tire, and a piece of old rope.

He found a stale pizza and plopped it right in

With a snorkel, a mask, and an old rubber fin.

For forty-eight days he left it to boil

After topping it off with used motor oil.

Now he’s calling us all to announce that it’s done.

I don’t know about you, BUT I‘M GOING TO RUN!
