Star-Spangled Wand

To make a wand, you will need: tracing paper, pencil, scissors, heavy colored paper, glue, glitter, curling ribbon, and a 3/8″ (1 cm) wooden dowel 12″ (30.5 cm) long.

  1. To make a pattern, trace the star on this page and cut it out.

  2. Trace the pattern onto the colored paper and cut it out.

  3. Cover one side of the colored star with glue, and sprinkle glitter over it. Lightly press the glitter into the glue and let it dry.

  4. Glue the other side of the star to the dowel (see illustration). Let dry.

  5. Curl several lengths of ribbon, tie each to the dowel, then glue them in place.
