Flowers for Mother’s Day

To make this gift for your mother, grandmother, or anyone else who is special, you will need: construction paper of various colors (including green), scissors, glue, and one straw for each flower.

  1. Cut out patterns, and trace grass pattern onto 3 pieces of green construction paper.

  2. Layer grass so that bottom layer is highest, then middle layer, with top layer lowest (see illustration). Glue along side edges and bottom.

  3. Trace flowerpot pattern onto construction paper of any color, and cut out. Glue to grass patterns (see illustration).

  4. Trace flowers and flower centers onto different colors of construction paper, and cut out.

  5. Glue flower centers to flowers; then glue back of each flower to top of straw.

  6. Stick straws between layers of grass.
