Twig Weaving

You will need: long, flexible twig, colored yarns, and tapestry needle.

1. Bend twig, and tie ends together with yarn (see illustration). Then wrap yarn firmly over twig several times in different directions, always crossing yarn in center of loom (see illustration).

2. Decide on colors to use, then thread tapestry needle with yarn and start weaving at center of wrapped loom. Weave over and under yarns on loom in circular direction (see illustration).

3. Tie knots on back side of loom when you run out of yarn or change colors.
