“Fishing,” Friend, June 1983, inside front cover

On summer days whenever we wish,

We take our poles, eager to fish.

We take some rolls and lemonade

And sit there waiting in the shade.

We have some worms and hooks and string,

    Yet sometimes don’t catch anything.

But it is fun to sit and dream

    Together by a little stream.
