The whole earth spoke (1) language after the time of Noah. Then it came to pass that the people wanted to build a city and a (2) so that its top would reach unto (3). One day the (4) came down to see the city and tower and was not pleased. He said, “Let us (5) down, and there confound their (6) that they may not (7) one another’s speech.” So the Lord (8) the people all over the earth. The name of the tower was Babel. It will always be remembered because it was there the Lord confused the languages and then scattered the people abroad upon the face (9—first word) all the (9—second word).
