Mother’s Day Gifts

Dusting Mitt

Sew scraps of rug yarn or pompoms of yarn to an inexpensive work glove.

Kitchen Doll

You will need: permanent felt-tip markers, round potholder, dishcloth, ribbon, small dish towel, needle and thread, and colored yarn.

  1. With felt-tip markers draw a face on round potholder.

  2. Roll up dishcloth tightly for doll’s arms, and tie each end with a ribbon bow.

  3. Use dish towel for dress. Lay towel out full length; fold each long side toward center so edges meet in center. Then fold towel in half. Insert rolled dishcloth inside fold (the shoulders) and, with needle and thread, take a few stitches to hold it in place. Tack on head the same way. With piece of colored yarn tie bow around waist.
