Christmas Stockings

This year you can make a personalized stocking for yourself, a friend, or a family member. Gather together felt, ribbons, trims, buttons, shoelaces, or whatever you’d like to make a Christmas stocking. If someone likes sports, make a stocking in the shape of a gym shoe. Others would rather have a hiking boot or a cowboy boot. Clever shapes such as snowmen can also be used. Make a double stocking for twins, parents, or grandparents. Make the stocking any size and cut a front and back from felt. Cut out design pieces you choose and glue or sew on front of stocking. Don’t forget to put a name on stocking; then glue or sew decorated stocking front to back. Now your personalized stocking gift is ready to stuff for Christmas.
