To Be a Missionary

I want to be ready when a call comes to me

To share Jesus’ gospel in lands over the sea

Or perhaps close to home—wherever it may be.

I will try to be ready by doing what’s right.

If I live as He taught, then I know that the light

Of His gospel will guide me by day and by night.

I want to be able to help others to find

That Jesus, our Friend, is always loving and kind

And that He wants us to grow in spirit and mind.

I hope everyone on earth will share in the plan

That our Father has given; and when I’m a man,

I’ll teach all of the world in the best ways I can.
