Fun Food

Treats to Make

Buy or bake cupcakes using directions on the package.

Top with orange frosting made from white frosting to which equal parts of red and yellow food coloring have been added.

Make funny faces on top of cupcakes with raisins, candy corn, whole cloves, and chocolate bits.

Serve cupcakes with cider that has a scoop of orange sherbet and a licorice strip stirrer. Apple juice and ginger ale with orange slices floating on top would be good too.

Goblin Pie

3/4 cup water

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon butter

1/4 cup milk

1 1/2 cups potato flakes

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 can cheese soup

1 can Spam (7 oz.)

Heat water, salt, and butter until boiling. Remove from stove. Add milk, potato flakes, egg, and undiluted soup. Fill the center of pie pan with this mixture.

Cut the Spam into six square slices. Then cut five slices diagonally in half and stand them around the edge of the pan. Cut the remaining slice to make a goblin face (as shown).

Bake 20 minutes at 350º. Serves 4.
