Winners of the 1975 Relief Society-Ensign Writing Contest

Winners of the 1975 Relief Society-Ensign Short Story and Poetry Contests have been selected and are as follows:

Short Story: First place ($100), Ruth H. Johnson, Mesa, Arizona, for “The Miracle at the Crossing” (page 40 of this issue); second place ($75), Norma A. Wrathall, Sunnyside, California, for “You Can Always Plant Tulips,” and third place ($60), Rita Ann Best, Orem, Utah, for “A Single Sound.”

Poetry: First place ($50), Maxine R. Jennings, Ogden, Utah, for “Leap, River, Toward Sky” (page 38 of this issue); second place ($40), Susan R. Davis, Los Angeles, California, for “First Child” (page 39 of this issue); and third place ($30), Jean S. Marshall, Provo, Utah, for “Pilgrimage” (page 39 of this issue).
