The Umpire Must Be Right

Elder William H. Bennett, Assistant to the Council of the Twelve, served as softball game umpire during a recreational break at the second annual Latter-day Saint Servicemen’s Conference in the Philippines. More than 170 Latter-day Saint servicemen, family members, and guests met together for the four-day conference at John Hay Air Base on the main island of Luzon. Elder Bennett presided at the conference and spoke at two main sessions and at a family fireside. Among the other speakers was Carl D. Jones, president of the Philippines Mission.
