Elder Brown Honored on Birthday

Elder Hugh B. Brown of the Council of the Twelve was recently honored by the First Presidency and the General Authorities on his 90th birthday. At a special luncheon on the top floor of the General Church Office Building, Elder Brown, now the “patriarch” of the General Authorities, was presented with a Triple Combination autographed by his colleagues. Sister Brown, who has been bedridden for the past six years, participated in other birthday festivities by writing a poem to her husband of 63 years that was read at a family gathering.
