Of all the different types of light waves, we can see only a small fraction of them. This is because our physical eyes are limited in what they can perceive. This is a great analogy for our spiritual eyes. We have the ability to see with our spiritual eyes, but we may not always perceive everything. President Harold B. Lee taught, “You can only see that which you have eyes to see” (Decisions for Successful Living , 59). The purpose of the See the One priority is to help us see our students as our Savior sees them. Only then can we teach as He would have us teach.
