The Spirit Guides the Way

Youth walking in woods

Young adults today face many of life’s toughest questions: What should I study? Who should I marry? Where should I live? Who should I become? Thankfully, the Holy Ghost can guide them on their journey. During March and April, teach and testify that through the whisperings of the Spirit, your students can gain insight into how to reach their goals and progress spiritually.

During the April 2016 general conference, Elder Robert D. Hales of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles taught, “[The Holy Ghost] speaks to our minds and our hearts gently about many matters of consequence” (“The Holy Ghost,” Ensign or Liahona, May 2016, 105). As it fits into your lesson plans, encourage students to study this talk as they think about how the Holy Ghost can help them grow spiritually and reach their goals.

Invite Students to Share

Invite students to share on social media how they can gain insight and understanding through the promptings of the Spirit. They can find shareable images on the LDS Institutes of Religion Facebook page. Specific images about the guiding influence of the Spirit are included below.

You and your students can also share your insights about reaching goals and growing spiritually through the help of the Spirit by answering the following questions on social media.

  • How do I invite the Spirit into my life?
  • How has the Spirit helped me reach my goals and grow spiritually?

Include #LDSInstitute and #TheSpiritGuides in your posts.
