When Jesus Christ walked the earth, He invited people to learn of Him, promising rest to their souls (Matthew 11:29). In the latter-days, He repeats His invitation to learn of Him, to listen to His words, and promises us peace in Him (Doctrine and Covenants 19:23). The Institute course, Jesus Christ and His Everlasting Gospel provides an extraordinary opportunity to follow the Savior’s invitations to learn of Him and experience His rest and His peace.
President Russell M. Nelson declared, “There has never been a time in the history of the world when knowledge of our Savior is more personally vital and relevant to every human soul” (“Pure Truth, Pure Doctrine, and Pure Revelation,” Liahona, Nov. 2021, 6).
Each of the six units in this course highlights an important aspect of the Lord’s premortal, mortal, or postmortal mission. The lessons include class preparation material and teacher material. These materials are designed to invite thoughtful preparation, encourage students to engage in deeper learning, and bring about actions that help teachers and students become more like Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
Here is what you will find on the institute course materials page and in Gospel Library:
|The Class Preparation Material is media-rich and engaging. It is for both teachers and students to study before class.||The Teacher Material draws on student preparation and personal experience. It encourages discussion and application.|
