President Monson Rededicates Atlanta Georgia Temple

After a two-year closure for extensive renovations to the interior and grounds, the Atlanta Georgia Temple was rededicated in two sessions on Sunday, May 1, 2011. President Thomas S. Monson presided over the rededication. He was accompanied by Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and other Church leaders. The dedication was preceded by an open house held from April  9–23, 2011, and a cultural celebration held in the Atlanta Civic Center on Saturday, April 30.
