During a recent trip to Korea and Japan, Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles took time to travel to Vietnam and meet with leading Vietnamese officials. He stated afterward that his reception in Vietnam was gracious, and that he had substantive discussions with the Vietnamese leaders.
Elder Cook was accompanied by Elder Carl B. Pratt of the Asia Area Presidency and Hoang Van Tung, a Church leader in Hanoi.
