Teaching the Doctrine of the Family

Sister Julie B. Beck said that “the rising generation will be called upon to defend the doctrine of the family as never before.” By teaching the truths found in “The Family: A Proclamation to the World,” parents and teachers can prepare youth to defend the family and to fulfill their future roles as mothers and fathers.

“[Youth] need to know that the theology of the family is based on the Creation, the Fall, and the Atonement. . . . They need to understand clearly that the fulness of the gospel is realized in temple ordinances and covenants.”

—Julie B. Beck, Relief Society general president
