I was working in my yard. If you've ever tried to
do this, it's a very dirty work--carrying sod
against your stomach, walking in the mud--and
sometimes you wonder, Will it all come off? And here, for example, here
are my shoes I've been wearing. It's hard to believe that they
one day were--they were white. They're not white anymore. And we sometimes wonder
that about our own souls. We think, Is it just so dirty,
so, so polluted that it cannot ever be made white
again, never be cleaned? But in dealing with our
Savior, our Redeemer, He who has taken upon
Himself all of our sins, we are not dealing in the
realm of this mortal world. We're dealing with a power
much greater than that. You'll remember some of
His apostles said, "Well, Lord, can anyone be saved?" And He gave those
wonderful words: "With [man] this
[would be] impossible; but with God all
things are possible."
