Hi. I'm Troy. I'm the manager here at the
LDS Humanitarian Center. Donated clothing, shoes, and
bedding not sold at DI stores come here. Most of the 180 associates
in our work training program are resettled refugees. Say hi, everyone. Hi, everyone! They sort the items
so they can be sent around the world
for humanitarian relief. Over seven million pounds
of clothing and shoes are sent out each year. What can't be used in
our humanitarian efforts gets recycled.
Most of our associates
spend half the day working and half the day learning. If you're happy and you
know it, clap your hands. We pay them to learn English. Thank you very much. We love showing people all the
incredible things we do here. Why don't you pay us a visit? I love helping other people,
and that's why I love my job.
