<![CDATA[ ]]> <![CDATA[[ASIAN INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PLAYING]]]> <![CDATA[ ]]> <![CDATA[I don't think any of us can deny that when we speak of hastening]]> <![CDATA[the work, that won't ever be any more true, couldn't be more]]> <![CDATA[true anywhere, than it's going to be in Asia.]]> <![CDATA[The Spirit of the Lord is brooding]]> <![CDATA[over this vast continent and subcontinent]]> <![CDATA[and these attendant islands of the sea.]]> <![CDATA[ ]]> <![CDATA[In one way they're pioneering because the Church is still]]> <![CDATA[new, however old we are--as old as 65,]]> <![CDATA[in the case of Hong Kong. ]]> <![CDATA[Pioneering Christianity and pioneering]]> <![CDATA[the Church of Jesus Christ, that's]]> <![CDATA[something that every one of us participate in.]]> <![CDATA[ ]]> <![CDATA[Temples and temple work and family-sealed relationships]]> <![CDATA[are more natural, I would say, in Asia]]> <![CDATA[than anywhere on this planet. ]]> <![CDATA[[SPEAKING CHINESE] ]]> <![CDATA[I need to meet God's expectation to become]]> <![CDATA[a good husband and a good father at home.]]> <![CDATA[Family relationships are the center of the gospel.]]> <![CDATA[If there is a good family relationship when]]> <![CDATA[I am fulfilling my responsibilities as a father]]> <![CDATA[and as a husband, there will be more warmth and harmony]]> <![CDATA[in the home. ]]> <![CDATA[I've never been in a meeting where]]> <![CDATA[there were better questions asked than in Taiwan.]]> <![CDATA[And that, for me, just instinctively,]]> <![CDATA[just immediately suggests the maturity of the Church.]]> <![CDATA[Those priesthood leaders were the equal of anything]]> <![CDATA[that you'd find in the Church: experienced men, returned]]> <![CDATA[missionaries, second, third, and fourth generation.]]> <![CDATA[That's a peaceful thought; that's a reassuring thought]]> <![CDATA[for those of us who now have some responsibility.]]> <![CDATA[ ]]> <![CDATA[We work at saving souls one individual at a time:]]> <![CDATA[one baptism here, one family there,]]> <![CDATA[and somebody off to the temple. ]]> <![CDATA[Ere long, that's the way the Church grows.]]> <![CDATA[And that's what's happening in India.]]> <![CDATA[It is such a bright, bright future.]]> <![CDATA[I think that's much of the emotion]]> <![CDATA[that I felt this morning, looking out]]> <![CDATA[over that mature audience, seasoned members of the Church]]> <![CDATA[just acting like members of the Church]]> <![CDATA[have always acted, here in far-off India,]]> <![CDATA[where we haven't been very long. ]]> <![CDATA[I've been blessed to come to see my daughters go]]> <![CDATA[on a mission and one being married in the temple,]]> <![CDATA[and my son is preparing to go on a mission.]]> <![CDATA[And my next future, my next plan is]]> <![CDATA[that I will go with my wife on a mission.]]> <![CDATA[So there are so much blessings that I cannot express.]]> <![CDATA[This is a stone cut out of a mountain without]]> <![CDATA[hands--majestic stone rolling forward among the most populous]]> <![CDATA[geography in the world. ]]> <![CDATA[And our children and our children's children]]> <![CDATA[will live to be as comfortable talking]]> <![CDATA[about the Church in Asia as they've]]> <![CDATA[been historically, traditionally,]]> <![CDATA[talking about it in Utah and Idaho and Arizona.]]> <![CDATA[What an exciting thought that is.]]> <![CDATA[What a new day that is. ]]> <![CDATA[And I felt that Spirit on this trip.]]> <![CDATA[I feel it in my ministry. ]]> <![CDATA[I have every confidence that God can do His own work.]]> <![CDATA[ ]]>
