[MUSIC PLAYING - "JINGLE BELLS"]

I love the lights. Something about the Christmas season just gets you really excited. I've never seen so many lights as I saw in Temple Square as I came here. The first time I saw the lights, I thought of home, being with my family around the Christmas tree. It's a time that everyone wants to share the feeling that they feel here. It's a feeling of home they have here. It brings families together. People seem to let their guard down and share, and all of us enjoy common beliefs in the Savior. It helps them to understand that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is really a church that worships Jesus Christ and has Him as the top of everything. There are over 700,000 lights here. It's just a magical place at this time. This speaks and sings of Christ. If you haven't been here at Christmas, you need to come. I immediately think of the scripture in the Bible that Jesus Christ is the light of the world. It's amazing. It's a world-class effort. But it's just so people can feel the spirit of Christmas, the real spirit, which is Jesus Christ.

Among all the lights we can see here in Temple Square, Jesus Christ is the light of our life. It's that time of the year where people start to recognize the importance of the Savior in their life. The lights do a great deal to influence all of us, to make us enjoy the beauty of the season, to appreciate the depth of our belief and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in Him. And yeah, we follow His light. It's almost a time, I think, for those of other faiths to come and have their faiths renewed as well. I don't know if there's any place in the world more beautiful than Temple Square at Christmas. [MUSIC PLAYING- "SILENT NIGHT"]
