My great-grandfather, I never knew him, but he was the very first baptism that I did in proxy. And that helped me to get to know him, so to speak, a little better. And I felt closer to him. We get satisfaction out of knowing that we've helped other people, kind of like you feel happy when you give service. It's that same concept--that you know you've helped someone. And Christ spent His life serving and healing, and it gives us--makes us closer to being more like Him. To me, doing family history work, I know that the temples are the greatest thing that we have on this earth that connects us to our ancestors and to our posterity. I was born before my dad became a member of the Church. And though I was very young when we were sealed as a family--I don't remember much of it--but I'm very grateful for the temples. And I know that they're a crucial part of the gospel, because I love my family so much that the thought of never being able to see them again is not something I like to think about.
