Ghana Primary Class

The Jabbok River flowing through the lower part of the Jordan Valley in the modern-day country of Jordan. Biblical/Historical info: The Old Testament Prophet Jacob (Israel) wrestled with the angel of the Lord near the Jabbok river. It was during this incident that the name of the Prophet was changed to Israel.(See Genesis 32:22-32) The river was one of the borders of the kingdom of the Old Testament King Sihon.(See Joshua 12:2)
