The painting in an interior scene of a log home. At the center is a young man with dark blonde hair seated in bed. He wears a off-white nightshirt open at the neck. The young man is holding the covers over his lap. The man had both arms raised to just above his waist (arms bent at the elbows. The figure seems to eminate light of some kind, that illuminates the whole room. The background of the painting shows a log building with a peaked roof, a small ledge just behind the pine bed, that a candle sits on.
