Jesus Christ continues His teachings during His visitation to people of Ancient America. Jesus’ words reflect the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes as found in the Gospel of Matthew 5  – 7. 

Jesus Christ Teaches How to Live the Higher Law | 3 Nephi 12–14

Jesus teaches the Nephites about the blessings that come from believing the words of His disciples and living the Beatitudes as they come to Him.

Jesus Christ Speaks the Beatitudes | 3 Nephi 12:2–48

Jesus sends His disciples forth to preach His gospel and baptize. Scenes of believers show them entering the waters of baptism with the disciples performing the ordinance as others witness their faith. 

Jesus Christ Invites All to Believe and Be Baptized | 3 Nephi 12:1–2

Jesus teaches the Nephites that the old law has been fulfilled in Him and they must come unto Him with full purpose of heart in keeping the commandments which He has given them.

Jesus Christ Teaches the Higher Law | 3 Nephi 12:19–48

Jesus teaches the Nephites to pray in secret to their Father to receive blessings from Him. He gives them an example of how to pray. 

Jesus Christ Teaches How to Pray | 3 Nephi 13:1–24

Jesus instructs His disciples to minister to the people and seek the kingdom of God first. He promises that Heavenly Father will bless them with what they need.

Jesus Christ Instructs His Disciples | 3 Nephi 13: 25–34

Christ teaches that His people should not judge, that those who ask, seek, and knock will receive, and that those who enter in at the gate and do the Father’s will shall enter His kingdom.

Jesus Christ Teaches How to Do His Father's Will | 3 Nephi 14:1–15:1

Jesus tells the people of Ancient America that they are the “other sheep” of His fold, as recorded in the Bible and spoken of by the Lord to those in Jerusalem. 

Jesus Christ Testifies of One Fold and One Shepherd | 3 Nephi 15–16

Jesus explains that He fulfilled the law of Moses, that He is the law and the light, and that those who come unto Him, keep His commandments and endure to the end will be saved.

Jesus Christ Declares the Law Is Fulfilled in Him | 3 Nephi 15:1–10

Jesus explains that the Nephites are among His sheep and that those at Jerusalem do not know of them. He teaches that He will also visit other tribes of the house of Israel.

Jesus Christ Declares the Nephites are among His Sheep | 3 Nephi 15:12–16:3

Jesus tells the Nephites to write down all His teachings and explains that He will bring His teachings and His gospel forth in the latter days and fulfill His covenant to gather the house of Israel.

Jesus Christ Will Bring Forth His Gospel in the Latter Days | 3 Nephi 16:3–20
