Life presents challenges, trials, and obstacles on our journey here on earth. Regardless of your circumstances, the Lord loves you and wants to help you. The Church offers resources to help you navigate these challenges.
Yes, Heavenly Father loves you no matter what. His love is endless, it never wavers or changes. It does not matter who you are, where you are from, how you look, or what you have done. It is not determined by your skills or talents, or if you do not feel worthy or deserving. It is just there, like a constant presence. Whether you are feeling sad or happy, discouraged or hopeful, God’s love is with you. You don’t have to earn it—it is always there.

How can I tell if I’m struggling with a mental health challenge?
An important part of good mental health is the ability to look at problems or concerns realistically. Everyone has days when they feel sad, stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed by life’s challenges. If you continue to struggle for several weeks or longer, or your symptoms begin interfering with your daily life—at home, work, school, or in your relationships— seek help.

How can I find the strength to overcome my weaknesses?
As we draw nearer to Him, surrendering ourselves spiritually to His care, we will be able to take upon ourselves His yoke, which is easy, and His burden, which is light, thus finding that promised comfort and rest. Furthermore, we will receive the strength we all need to overcome the hardships, weaknesses, and sorrows of life, which are exceedingly difficult to endure without His help and healing power. How can I find peace through the Savior in my trials?
Life presents challenges, trials, and obstacles on our journey here on earth. Finding peace through the Savior during trials involves recognizing Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. We lean on His Atonement, express gratitude for tender mercies, study scriptures, and seek personal revelation.
The Savior said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
“As we rely on the Atonement of Jesus Christ, He can help us endure our trials, sicknesses, and pain. We can be filled with joy, peace, and consolation. All that is unfair about life can be made right through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.” (Preach My Gospel, Lesson 2: The Plan of Salvation)
How can I help a family member with an addiction and get the support I need?
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, supporting a family member with addiction can be challenging, but there are steps you can take to provide help and find the support you need. Empower yourself with knowledge, seek support, and maintain your own well-being while facing this challenging journey.
Addiction is a family disease and supporting your loved one can be demanding. You are not alone, and there are resources available to help guide you through this process. The Church has support groups for individuals dealing with addiction and those that support and love them. These groups can be a great support to be a part of and are available in person and online.
Facing job loss can be stressful. The worry about paying bills and putting food on the table can be heavy. The Church can offer help during challenging times like this. The first step? Reach out to your Bishop. He will meet with you to discuss your situation, figure out what help is needed, and guide you to support from resources such as the Bishops Storehouse, DI, and Employment Services.
