Program Description
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a Utah Corporation sole (“CHC”), offers text messaging services (the “Service”) for you to receive information about helpful news, inspirational messages, events and similar messaging from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the “Church”). By enrolling, providing your phone number or otherwise agreeing to receive text messages, you agree to these terms and acknowledge that you have read the Church’s Privacy Notice. You also confirm that you are the current subscriber and authorized user of the phone number you provided. When you opt in, you will receive a confirmation message from the Church. Message frequency may vary. By signing up, you confirm that you are over the age of 13.
Cost
The Church does not charge any fee for joining text alerts. However, message and data rates charged by your wireless provider may apply. Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you, if applicable. If you have any questions about your text or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
Opt-Out Information
You can unsubscribe from this message service at any time by replying STOP. As per your request, you will no longer receive any text messages for the service to which you subscribed.
Carriers
Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) is not available with every carrier. Access denied and service unavailable error messages are often caused by spam blocking features activated on individual phone lines. Please contact your wireless provider about such errors. Note that mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered text messages. Some carriers may send messages using a long code or a special telephone number designed for high throughput, two-way messaging.
Privacy
Any personal information that you provide in connection with the Service will be used in accordance with the Church’s Privacy Notice. Data obtained through the long code program will not be shared with any third parties for their marketing reasons or purposes.
