Agbor T. Agbor served as a full-time missionary in the California Ventura Mission, high councilor, bishopric counselor, bishop of a young single adult ward, and counselor in a stake presidency.

He received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Utah. He is the president of Utah Water Systems LLC. Agbor.

Born in Cross River State, Nigeria, he and his wife, DeAnna, have two children and reside in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Derral E. Eves

Derral E. Eves

Young Men General Advisory Council Member

Derral E. Eves served as elders quorum president, bishopric counselor, bishop, and counselor in a stake presidency. As a young man, he fulfilled a full-time mission in the Paraguay Asunción Mission.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and advertising from Southern Utah University and later founded a marketing agency specializing in social media strategy and audience development. Brother Eves is the cofounder and executive producer of The Chosen. He has served on several corporate and philanthropic boards and currently sits on the Board of Trustees of Southern Utah University.

Born in Ogden, Utah, he and his wife, Carolyn Robison Eves, are the parents of five children and live in the Hurricane Utah South Stake.

Daniel E. Mendoza Garcia

Daniel E. Mendoza García

Young Men General Advisory Council Member

Daniel E. Mendoza García served as bishopric counselor, bishop, counselor in a stake Young Men presidency, high councilor, and counselor in three mission presidencies in Provo, Utah, and recently in the Utah Saratoga Springs Mission presidency.

Brother García was born in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico, and raised in Jojutla, Morelos, Mexico. There he and his family learned of and accepted the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. He earned an associate’s degree in industrial engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Zacatepec. He has worked at different companies in the production industry.

His family immigrated to Southern California. One year after moving to California, he met his wife, Patty. They were married and sealed in the Los Angeles California Temple. They raised their two daughters and one son in California and moved to Utah in 2005. They have lived in Santaquin, Utah, since then.

John Hilton III

John Hilton III

Young Men General Advisory Council Member

John Hilton III served as a full-time missionary in the Colorado Denver North Mission, elders quorum president, ward mission leader, ward Young Men president, high councilor, stake clerk, and as a counselor in a branch presidency, bishopric, and stake presidency.

He has a master’s degree from Harvard University and a PhD from Brigham Young University, both in education. He is a professor of religious education at Brigham Young University and has authored several books and online courses.

Born in San Francisco, California, Brother Hilton and his wife, Lani Olsen Hilton, have six children and live in the Utah Cascade Stake.

Richard P. Kaufusi

Richard P. Kaufusi

Young Men General Advisory Council Member

Richard P. Kaufusi served as president of the Tonga Nuku‘alofa Mission (2022–2025), counselor in the Utah Salt Lake Mission presidency, region welfare chairman, stake president, stake Young Men president, high councilor, bishop, bishopric counselor, elders quorum president, ward Young Men president, employment specialist, and ward service coordinator. As a young missionary, he served in the Tonga Nuku‘alofa Mission and the New Zealand Auckland Mission.

He received degrees from Dixie College, an English degree from Brigham Young University, and a graduate degree in education, leadership, and policy from the University of Utah. He is engaged in teaching and administration at the secondary level, community college, and the David Eccles School of Business. He has served on many educational boards, chaired the Board of Trustees of Catholic Community Services, and served on the Executive Board of Primary Children’s Hospital. He currently works with Wolfgramm Capital, building businesses in the manufacturing sector and focusing on workforce development and apprenticeship opportunities for youth.

Brother Kaufusi was born in Fua‘amotu, Tonga, and immigrated to Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of five, where he grew up and attended school. He married ‘Ofa Petulisa Reeves, and they have five children and reside in the Salt Lake Cannon Stake.

G. Sheldon Martin

G. Sheldon Martin

Young Men General Advisory Council Member

G. Sheldon Martin served as a missionary in the France Paris Mission, bishop, counselor in a stake presidency, stake Young Men president, and elders quorum president.

He received a bachelor’s degree in political science, a master’s degree in mental health counseling, and a doctor of behavioral health degree from Arizona State University. Brother Martin has worked for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 21 years and currently serves as the director of member insights in the Priesthood and Family Department.

Born in Auburn, Washington, he grew up in Palmdale, California. He and his wife, Nicole, are the parents of five children.

Steve Kapila Mutombo

Steve K. Mutombo

Young Men General Advisory Council Member

Steve K. Mutombo served as a seminary and an institute teacher, ward executive secretary, temple and family history consultant, counselor in an elders quorum presidency, elders quorum president, bishopric counselor, bishop, stake Sunday School counselor, and stake high councilor. He also served as a full-time missionary in the Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa Mission (2009–2011).

He earned a degree in information technology (systems administration) from École Supérieure d’Informatique Salama (ESIS) in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo; a postgraduate diploma in business management from Regent Business School in South Africa; and a master of public administration with an emphasis in finance and information systems from Brigham Young University. Brother Mutombo has worked for the Church in several capacities, including buyer and fleet administrator, travel supervisor, and regional support services manager. He currently works as a financial consultant for a consulting firm in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born and raised in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, he and his wife, Mathilde Mutombo, are the parents of four children and currently reside in the Lehi Central Stake.

Luke J. Nichols served as a missionary in the Fukuoka Japan Mission.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brigham Young University and a juris doctorate from George Mason University. He became the managing partner of Nichols & Green PLLC, where he practiced criminal defense law. He also created and hosted multiple YouTube channels, which have been viewed over 3.3 billion times.

Brother Nichols and his wife, Rebecca, have three sons.

Rogelio Osuna served as a full-time missionary in the North Carolina Charlotte Mission, counselor in an elders quorum presidency, temple and family history leader, bishop, and member of a stake high council.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Brigham Young University. Following graduation, he worked for Goldman Sachs for 10 years and currently works for the Missionary Department of the Church, supporting international missionary training centers.

Born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico, Brother Osuna and his wife, Karen Serratos, are the parents of five children and live in Herriman, Utah.

Walter G. Queiroz Jr. served a full-time mission in the Brazil Recife Mission, priests and deacons quorum adviser, ward Young Men president, elders quorum president, branch president, bishopric counselor, stake high councilor, mission president in the Brazil Florianopolis Mission (2008–2011), counselor in the São Paulo Brazil Temple presidency, and sealer in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple.

Brother Queiroz has a degree in accounting. He oversees a mining company in Brazil and a commercial janitorial company in Utah. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, he and his wife, Claudia, have three sons. They are members of the Highland Utah Central Stake.

Anthony R. Sweat served as a full-time missionary in the Bolivia La Paz Mission, counselor in an elders quorum presidency, elders quorum president, teachers quorum adviser, ward Young Men counselor, stake Young Men counselor, bishopric counselor, bishop, and Sunday School teacher. He received a bachelor’s degree in painting and drawing from the University of Utah and a master’s degree and PhD in education from Utah State University. His career has been in the Church Educational System. He is a professor of Church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University and serves as its department chair. Anthony and his wife, Cindy, are the parents of seven children and live in Springville, Utah.

Clinton E. Udy served as bishopric counselor, bishop, stake high councilor, counselor in a stake presidency, stake Young Men president, bishop of a young single adult ward, Area Seventy executive secretary, member of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple Open House Committee, and regional communications director. After serving a mission as a young man in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University and a master’s degree from Utah State University. He works for Seminaries and Institutes of Religion as a region director. Clint was raised in Malta, Idaho. Born in Burley, Idaho, he and his wife, Amy, live in Eagle Mountain, Utah, and they are the parents of four children.

Parker Aaron Walbeck served as a full-time missionary in Montevideo, Uruguay, and as a mission prep instructor. Parker operates an online course and a YouTube channel called Full-Time Filmmaker, teaching video production and social media marketing. He also runs a faith-based YouTube channel and Instagram account, sharing Church members’ conversion stories and video edits from Church leaders’ talks. Born in Provo, Utah, he and his wife, Lexi, have four children and live in Lehi, Utah.

Kazuhiko Yamashita

Kazuhiko Yamashita

Elder Kazuhiko Yamashita served as bishop, high councilor, stake president, mission president, Area Seventy, and General Authority Seventy. He received a bachelor of arts degree in education at Saitama University and a master’s degree in sports science from the University of Tsukuba. He studied philosophy of physical education and sports at Brigham Young University. During his career, he worked as an instructor and a professor at various universities. Before he was called as a General Authority Seventy, he worked as a professor of health and sports science at Fukuoka University. He has served in many positions in universities, scientific societies, and community and sports organizations. He is currently teaching at Brigham Young University and working as an internship coordinator. Kazuhiko was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. He and his wife, Tazuko, have six children and live in the Provo Utah Grandview East Stake.
