Introduction

The Temple City Tour concludes at the William and Esther Gheen Home. William and Esther Gheen moved here in 1842. She joined the Female Relief Society. He became a high priest and worked an 80-acre farm outside of Nauvoo. They donated time and means to help build the House of the Lord.

The Gheen Home is a two-room guided tour that covers the dining room and parlor. After the tour of the Gheen Home, you are free to explore the rest of Nauvoo.
