Sandino Román

Sandino Román was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in April 2024. At the time of his call, he was serving as president of the Ecuador Quito North Mission.

Elder Román has served in a numerous Church callings, including full-time missionary in the México Torreón Mission, elders quorum president, bishop, counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, and Area Seventy.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer systems from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2000 and a MBA from Brigham Young University in 2006. His professional experience includes serving as a marketing manager for Johnson & Johnson, owning a distribution company in the same industry, and working for the Church in Mexico as director of operations.

Prometeo Sandino Román Corral was born in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico. He married Lupita Villanueva Rojas, and they are the parents of four children. Elder and Sister Román consider Toluca, Mexico, their home.
