Elder Ronald M. Barcellos was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the April 2025 general conference. At the time of his call, he had been serving as a seminary teacher in the Orlando Florida South Stake.
Elder Barcellos has served in a number of Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Brazil Porto Alegre North Mission, elders quorum president, bishop, high councilor, stake young men’s president, counselor in a stake presidency, and mission president.
Elder Barcellos studied business administration at São Marcos University in São Paulo, Brazil. He built his professional career as a sales and marketing executive at several companies and also founded and led several businesses in the technology space, until his calling to serve as a mission leader in Portugal in 2021.
Ronald Maldonado Barcellos Silveira was born in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 4, 1975. He married Karin Spat Albino in 1999. They are the parents of three children.
