Organizations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Church provides several organizations to support individuals and families in their spiritual growth, service, and learning. Explore the organizations below to find ways to connect, serve, and participate in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Primary supports families in helping children become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ. In Primary, children nourish their faith, learn gospel principles, practice becoming more like the Savior, and prepare for baptism.

Primary

Sunday School helps youth and adults deepen their understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ through studying the scriptures. It provides a curriculum for home study and opportunities to learn together through discussions at church.

The Young Women program helps girls aged 11 to 18 develop faith in Jesus Christ and prepare to make and keep sacred covenants in the temple. Young Women activities and classes promote personal growth, leadership, gospel learning, and supportive friendships.

Young Women

Aaronic Priesthood quorums (sometimes referred to as the Young Men program) help boys aged 11 to 18 grow in faith and prepare for future responsibilities. Quorum participation provides opportunities for young men to serve, lead, experience personal growth, and build friendships.

Relief Society is a worldwide organization for women. Its focus is strengthening faith, serving others, and building unity. Women in the Relief Society support each other in living Christ-centered lives as they look for opportunities to serve individuals, families, and communities.

In his lifetime, Christ valued His interactions with women. Rogers paints women coming to Christ in various emotional stages—some are seeking His presence while others are nervous to approach. Still others encourage their friends to approach Him. But all are invited; all are gathered in.

Relief Society

Elders quorum is a brotherhood of men who serve together, learn together, and strengthen each other. Men in the elders quorum support each other in striving to follow Jesus Christ as they participate in gospel discussions and serve individuals, families, and communities.

A group of men sit together in discussion. This could be an Elders Quorum, High Priests Quorum, or even a Bishop’s council. The sit in a slight semi-circle. Behind them are windows. They are all looking towards the man in the center. They are all in suit and ties. This is for the Liahona for something they are calling, “To Sit in Council.’ Specifically the client used the description: Melchizedek Priesthood Quorum members in Sunday clothing sitting in council discussing topics of concern, where sub-groups are each discussing items and multiple are speaking and interacting and gesturing with hands to indicate active participation.
