Elder Mark D. Eddy was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 2, 2022.
Elder Eddy has served in several Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East Mission, bishop, counselor in a stake presidency, president of the Uruguay Montevideo Mission from 2016 to 2019, and Area Seventy. Since his call, Elder Eddy has served in the Missionary Department, the United States Southwest Area, and as a member of the Brazil Area Presidency. He is currently serving in department assignments at Church headquarters.
Elder Eddy received a bachelor of arts in communications and juris doctor from Brigham Young University. He worked as an attorney and as a business executive prior to his call to full-time church service.
Mark David Eddy was born in Long Beach, California, and raised in Orem, Utah. He married Annie Allen in 1994. They are the parents of six children.
