Elder Jeremiah J. Morgan was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the April 2026 general conference. At the time of his call, he had been serving as an elders quorum instructor for the Hodge Park Ward.

Elder Morgan has served in a number of Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Micronesia Guam Mission, branch president, bishop, high councilor, public affairs specialist, stake president, and Area Seventy.

Professonal Life

Elder Morgan earned a bachelor of science degree in political science from the University of Central Missouri in 1995 and a juris doctor degree from Brigham Young University in 1998. He worked as a judicial clerk for the US Federal Court of Appeals from 1998 to 1999 and then as an attorney for Bryan Cave LLP from 1999 to 2009. He worked as deputy solicitor general for the Office of the Missouri Attorney General from 2009 to 2016 and as general counsel for the Supreme Court of Missouri from 2016 to 2019. Since 2019 Elder Morgan has worked as a deputy attorney general and as the chief deputy attorney general for the state of Missouri.

Personal Life

Jeremiah Joseph Morgan was born in Kettering, Ohio, on March 15, 1971. He married Rebecca McDavitt in 1994. They are the parents of five children.
