Vida personal

Jeffrey R. Holland nació el 3 de diciembre de 1940; es hijo de Frank D. Holland y Alice Bentley Holland. En 1963 se casó con Patricia Terry. Son los padres de Matthew, Mary Alice y David; los suegros de Paige, Lee y Jeanne; los abuelos de trece hermosos nietos y los bisabuelos de dos hermosos bisnietos.

El presidente Holland fue líder estudiantil y atleta de primera división en la escuela secundaria Dixie y en el colegio universitario Dixie College en su natal ciudad de St. George, Utah. El presidente Holland ejerció activamente su profesión en educación antes de ser llamado a servir a tiempo completo en la Iglesia. Ha servido en varias mesas directivas de organizaciones cívicas y corporaciones relacionadas con negocios; también ha recibido el reconocimiento “Distinguished Eagle Scout” [Rango Águila Distinguido] de Boy Scouts of America. Es autor de ocho libros, siendo coautor con su esposa Patricia de uno de ellos.
