Elder Christian C. Chigbundu was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the April 2026 general conference. At the time of his call, he had been serving as president of the Nigeria Enugu Mission.
Elder Chigbundu has served in a number of Church callings, including bishop, stake president, mission president, and Area Seventy.
Elder Chigbundu has earned multiple degrees including a higher national diploma in accounting and finance, a postgraduate degree in international relations, an associate degree in credit and risk management, a master’s degree in marketing, and a diploma in law. He has also been a university fellow at multiple institutions, studying taxation management, transport and logistics, brand development, and accounting and finance. Elder Chigbundu worked as an audit officer from 1999 to 2000 and as an audit manager from 2000 to 2002. He went on to work as a country general manager for C&I Leasing from 2002 to 2013. Since 2013 he has worked as a managing director for Coscharis Mobility Ltd. He has also worked as a board member for the Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria since 2014 and as a board member of Afro-Lease since 2016.
Christian Chiemezuolam Chigbundu was born in Ahiaba Okpuala, Nigeria, on November 12, 1974. He married Felicia Mgbeodi Ugbor in 2002. They are the parents of five children.
