Carriage Ride

Carriage depot

Introduction

The carriage ride is an additional Pioneer Life experience. The horse-drawn carriage passes through the countryside while a narrator tells stories from the journals of men and women who lived in Nauvoo in the 1840s.

What to Expect

The carriage ride is approximately 35 minutes. A missionary will narrate the experience.

Tickets are required for the carriage ride from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Rides are available Monday–Saturday. Tickets can be reserved the day of your visit starting at 7:00 a.m. central time. Visit Historic Nauvoo’s Eventbrite page to reserve your tickets on the day you would like to take a ride. If you have questions about ticketing, please visit the Ticketing FAQ page.
