“One thing that really stood out to me in this general conference was Elder J. Kimo Esplin’s talk.1 He spoke about how a woman and her family in Okinawa, Japan, suffered in harsh conditions for months during World War II.
“Even though this woman was given very unfortunate circumstances for a long period of time, she still chose to push through the challenges and hold on to spiritual experiences.
“This shows me the true power and strength Heavenly Father can give us in times of need. Our faith and determination can carry us through even the darkest of times. Elder Esplin’s message of resilience and reliance on God’s guidance was a powerful reminder that, no matter the trials we face, we can find strength in our faith and the support of our Heavenly Father.”
