Here are some tips for these important conversations.

Have you ever known someone who has died from suicide? It’s very sad and challenging for the family and friends left behind. And while lots of people struggle with suicidal thoughts, it’s still hard to talk about sometimes. A new video created by the Church is meant to help. Check it out above!

Also, did you know that the Church has a whole collection of resources for those who are thinking about suicide, loved ones of those who are struggling, and help for those who have lost someone? To find it, visit Gospel Library and choose the “Life Help” tile. Then choose “Suicide” to explore more.

If you are thinking about hurting yourself, please reach out for help right away. We need you! Visit this website to find a list of crisis helplines that you can contact for free, confidential help. For example, in the United States you can text 741-741 anytime to chat with a live crisis volunteer.

Those of us who have been through dark times can testify: things will get better. Don’t give up! You are loved.

Your Safety Plan

The video describes what a “safety plan” is at 3:42. It would be a great idea to create one of your own!
