#StriveToBe: Have Confidence in Yourself
“When I was first getting adopted to my new family, it was a crazy time. It was last year. Everyone was talking and I was really worried that the family wouldn’t like me and that they would make me go back. Before I came here, I read the scriptures and that gave me confidence. Then I said a prayer and I knew it was going to be okay.
“It was scary to come here and stay because I felt like I had to act a certain way so my new family would like me. I was really stressed out, because I was trying to keep up my profile at the house. Since then, it’s been great. I don’t have to pretend anymore. I hang out with my family all the time and I’m a lot happier here.
“Have confidence in yourself. Don’t be scared of what people will think of you. Say a quick prayer to help you out. I know that I can trust the Savior. He is a loving, kind person that I can talk to whenever I want.”
