Part of a Church calling is being “set apart.”

But what exactly does that mean?

Each of us can be “set apart” from the world by the way we act and the choices we make. When we choose to follow God, we are setting ourselves apart from worldliness!

But you might hear the phrase “set apart” used in a more formal way, too.

After you accept a calling, you will be given a special blessing that gives you authority to do your calling. It will give you extra help and guidance as you go about doing Heavenly Father’s work. This blessing is called being set apart.
